1:24 scale to be exact :P
My Axial SCX24 with a 1:24 scale GMC truck model body. Not too bad for making a glue n paint model and modify it to fit on a RC frame. Even made the LED lights fit.

Looks great! I’ve been out of the RC hobby for a while, but I’ve been getting the itch to build a crawler recently.

Neat! Ditto what TrickJos said. I wandered into a hobby shop about a month ago and almost spent some large amounts of money.

That’s beautiful, Brick! I have the same kit and was thinking of making the same with my SCX24. Did you shorten the wheelbase? The wheels/tyres, what are those? Smaller than the stock ones? What other alterations did you make?

I bought the axial 31613 suspension link kit and used the short links to shorten the rear . Had to shave the drive shaft down a bit, or buy a short driveshaft.
The wheels are ECX barrage 1/24 . They work alot better and more realistic. At first they dont fit but just press harder :)
I was going to mount the battery under the hood, hince the massive plastic removal, so I glued a scrap piece of plastic from an AMD motherboard I had laying around and some screws to screw it to the body posts on the frame. Thankfully it’s holding up. Some thin magnets to keep the hood closed. F lipped the front bumper mounts to help support the front, some washers/ nuts under the bed and used the original Jeep front body mount to hold the bed in place. Makes it look like a 5th wheel hitch IMO.
I thought about shock upgrades but it would of made the truck too high. Could of made the body sit on the frame, but would of needed to buy 3d printed ESC mounts, etc and I didnt want to spend too much on the project.
This where I got my inspiration. http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/micro-scale-rigs/613786-my-little-gmc.html

Thanks a bunch for the thorough info. I’ve ordered the wheels and I’m looking for the suspension kit. I’m curious about how long the shortest wheelbase is. I may have another body that could fit.
